Overview

We are committed to preserving the privacy of our clients and the users of our websites. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to other companies. We do not carry advertising on our websites.

Terms and conditions of using our websites

Definition of terms
‘Cycle Breaks’ & ‘Walking Breaks’ & ‘Suffolk Cycle Breaks’ are all trading names of Andrew Patton and will be referred to as ‘We’ or ‘Us’ for the rest of this document.

Users of our websites (www.cyclebreaks.com and www.walkingbreaks.com), those making enquiries by email, telephone or fax and those booking holidays are referred to as ‘You’ or ‘Your’.

Access and use of our websites
This is subject to acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these conditions, you should stop using the site at once.

Accuracy of Information
Every reasonable effort is made to ensure that information will be accurate and up-to-date. This is done in good faith and we do not accept any liability for error or omission with regards to content of the site. We do not accept responsibility for the content of any third party site even where there is a hypertext link from this site.

Our Liability
We shall not be liable for any damages arising in contract, tort, or otherwise from the use of or inability to use this site, or any material contained in it, or from any action or decision taken as a result of using this site or any such material.

Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law.

Website – Information collected

Our web server records visits to this website, and our websites also use cookies. A ‘cookie’ is information that a website stores on your computer so that it can remember something about you at a later time. The main purpose of a cookie is to identify users and to personalise their visit by customising a web page for their use. Our use of cookies does not involve the capture of personal details.

We use online tracking software to track the progress of visitors to our websites. Our software collects information about:

• the pages which you have visited while browsing the site
• computer information (eg IP address, browser, operating system, screen colours, screen resolution, flash version, java support, connection speed, language)
• location (city and country).

We do not intentionally link this information with personally identifiable information.

Our websites contain links to third party websites - our privacy statement only applies to our own websites. For third party websites, please refer to their own privacy statements.

We consider that our websites use reasonable security procedures to maintain the confidentiality of the information you provide. The Internet is however an open public facility and no security measures are guaranteed.

Information collected when you request a brochure or make a booking

If you book or make enquiries about booking one of our holidays or request a copy of our brochure, we will collect:

• contact information for the person making the booking or enquiry (name, address, telephone number(s) and/or email address(es) as well as details of how you heard about us
• personal information for members of your party where relevant (eg gender and height, age and special dietary requests). This information is not retained electronically except where held incidentally in archived electronic correspondence.
• information collected in the post-holiday questionnaire (your satisfaction with our services, your occupation, age range of your party and household and your holiday, newspaper and magazine preferences). This is only held electronically in aggregated form.

We will use this information:

• to provide the requested service(s)
• to monitor and improve the quality of our service
• to profile and understand our client & customer base
• as client testimonials in our marketing materials (in anonymised form).

We may need to pass some or all of the data collected to our overseas partners, or UK-based service providers (eg banks, consultants or mailing houses) to enable us to provide the requested service. These third parties do not use your information other than as necessary to provide the requested service. We will also comply with requests for information from government agencies (UK or overseas) for law enforcement and compliance purposes. It may on occasion be appropriate to release this information to identify, contact or bring legal action against a person who may be causing injury or interference with another person’s rights or property.

Data Subject Access Request

You may ask us in writing for a copy of the information we hold about you (for which we may charge a fee) and to correct any inaccuracies in your information. We aim to respond to you within 31 days from the receipt of the request.

Mailing list

If you have requested a brochure or booked one of our holidays, then we may send you future brochures or other marketing materials by post. Any requests to be removed from our mailing lists will be complied with as quickly as possible.
