Hiking in the UK - Constable Country HikesThese two walks take you to Flatford Mill, along the River Stour and through the pretty villages where John Constable lived and painted some of his most famous scenes. Thatched cottages, timber-framed houses, village greens, historic churches and old country inns are the hallmark of these most enjoyable walks. 2 night tour Constable Country Walk (Tour CC3) This picturesque walk takes you to the sites and through the countryside made famous by John Constable. Old world villages, timber-framed houses and 'chocolate box' cottages abound, with a host of inns and tea rooms to relax in along the way. 3 night tour Extended Constable Country Walk (Tour CC4) This 4 day tour follows the same route as Tour CCW3 but includes an extra day to explore Nayland and Stoke by Nayland whose church tower, standing high above the surrounding countryside, was often featured in Constable's paintings. Hiking in the UK - Wool Town HikesTwo walks through the historic Suffolk Wool Towns and some of the prettiest villages in England The 15th and 16th century wool trade made Suffolk one of the richest counties in England. Today its legacy is the old world charm of the towns and villages of southern Suffolk, many frozen in time and largely unchanged over 400 years. 2 night tour - 3 Day Wool Towns Walk (WTW3) A walk steeped in history from the timber framed village of Bildeston, along wooded glades and green lanes to Chelsworth, a near perfect Suffolk village and on to Lavenham, the most famous of the Wool Towns. 3 night tour - 4 Day Wool Towns Walk (WTW4) Over four days this walk takes you through rolling countryside to the most famous of the Suffolk Wool Towns and the prettiest of villages that lie around them. It is a walk that takes you right back to the 14th century exploring streets and lanes that have changed so little in 400 years.
