Walk this way. Across sandy swathes and down creek-side pathways. Beneath the pines. Amidst the azaleas. And alongside reedy marsh-beds. Norfolk is all wrap-around skies and endless horizons.
The wild beauty of the Norfolk Coast
At Hunstanton where the east faces west, Norfolk’s coast bears round towards the old fishing harbour of Blakeney, classic seaside Sheringham and Cromer. Dune-scapes lead on to marshlands and old parish harbours or staithes, now no more than creeks. Sea lavender colours the heaths and samphire clings to the beaches. Flocking wildfowl descend at Snettisham, Titchwell and along the wild, reedy landscapes on the stretch to Cley, most worthy of its designation as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Meandering creeks, sandy bays, marshlands teeming with wildlife and pretty fishing villages full of flint cottages. Follow the Norfolk Coast path for breath-taking vistas, inspiring seascapes and some excellent bird-watching. Plenty of local character here and some mouth-watering seafood treats to tempt you too.
The hand-picked accommodation is situated in some of North Norfolk’s most delightful small towns and villages including Burnham Market, Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney and Upper Sheringham.
Take a little longer to nestle down into the Norfolk pace of life, with an extra day at the beginning of your stay. Head towards Hunstanton, or do a bit of extra twitching at RSPB Titchwell. Follow the Norfolk Coast path for breath-taking vistas, inspiring seascapes,meandering creeks, sandy bays, marshlands teeming with wildlife and pretty fishing villages full of flint cottages.
